Hello All,
My name is Rod Dhimitri. I am from Philadelphia, PA, and I've lived nearly all my life. I have visited dozens of places in the United States, but Philly has my heart. I've vacationed in Miami, Chicago, New Orleans, Maryland, Baltimore, New Jersey, and Los Angeles. My favorite three are New York, Boston, and Las Vegas. I like New York for the city, Boston for the traditions, and Vegas for, well, everything.
I'm currently a senior at Penn State. I major in Information Science and Technology with a focus on Integration and Application. I plan to get my Master's degree in MIS or the like at the University of Arizona. My career goals are to become a digital forensics examiner and help solve crimes with my technical expertise. As a backup plan, I also have an interest in pursuing a career in DBMS.
I have a natural passion for investigating and researching evidence. I possess valuable soft skills like organization, accuracy, attention to detail, leadership, decision-making, and prioritization. If I can do something I love and help make the world a better place, that motivates me even more.
I currently work for one of the largest insurance companies in the world. We manage claims for thousands of small to large organizations globally. This includes Workers' Compensation, Auto and General Liability, Disability, Leave, and Property claims. My role consists of making speedy critical decisions, handling money, and managing sensitive client data. I've also worked for Comcast, selling high-speed internet to business owners. Before that, I spent some time at Raymour & Flanigan, assembling and delivering furniture, managing a small team as a store supervisor, and later managing a much larger team as an Operations Manager.
Some things I love are true crime, fashion, sports, movies, reading and writing, general gambling here and there, and playing chess. A hobby of mine is crime sleuthing. A recent case I worked on was the Idaho Student Murders. I also like data analytics. I take numbers and statistics and combine them to make decisions, provide advice or consulting, and identify trends.
